Short Summary

Eligible kids ages 6 to 16 get $120 for groceries when school's out.

Who it may help

Most eligible kids ages 6 to 16 are approved automatically. You do not need to apply if your child is enrolled in:

  • SNAP (food stamps)
  • Cash assistance
  • Medicaid
  • Free or reduced-price school meals

If you qualify automatically, youll get a letter in the mail.

Not automatically approved? You can apply if both of the following are true:

  • Your child attends a school in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP)
  • Your household income is at or below the monthly limits
  • If your household size is 1, your yearly income must be at or below $2,413.
  • If your household size is 2, your yearly income must be at or below $3,261.
  • If your household size is 3, your yearly income must be at or below $4,109.
  • If your household size is 4, your yearly income must be at or below $4,957.
  • If your household size is 5, your yearly income must be at or below $5,805.
  • If your household size is 6, your yearly income must be at or below $6,653.
  • If your household size is 7, your yearly income must be at or below $7,501.
  • If your household size is 8, your yearly income must be at or below $8,349.
  • Each additional person, add +$848 to the limit.
